Personal Accountability: TAAG members are accountable for their professional activities and are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity.
Professional Development: Members are committed to continuous learning, skill development, and application of knowledge to ensure competence in their roles.
Respect for Others: Treat everyone with respect, fairness, and dignity, recognising the value and diversity of each individual.
II. Professional Integrity
Conflict of Interest: Members must avoid actions or decisions that may result in, or appear as, conflicts of interest. They should disclose any potential conflicts to relevant stakeholders.
Fair Dealing: Act honestly and fairly in all professional relationships, ensuring that all parties have access to relevant and accurate information.
III. Stakeholder Engagement
Communication: Engage in open, timely, and truthful communications, ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary information to make informed decisions.
Confidentiality: Protect the confidentiality of all privileged information, unless disclosure is legally mandated.
IV. Respect for Laws and Regulations
Legal Adherence: Comply with all local, state, and federal laws related to recruitment and employment.
Advocacy: Advocate for the appropriate use and appreciation of human beings as employees and recognise the value they add to the organisation.
V. Respect for Institutional Policies
Policy Adherence: Understand and respect the policies, procedures, and culture of the institutions and organisations they serve.
Recommendations: When recommending policies or practices, ensure they are consistent with the mission and values of the organisation and the profession.
VI. Social Responsibility
Community Engagement: Engage in activities that contribute to the betterment of the community and the profession.
Environmental Stewardship: Advocate for and engage in sustainable practices that benefit the community and the environment.
VII. Global Perspective
Cultural Sensitivity: Recognise and respect the unique attributes and contributions of individuals across diverse cultures and geographies.
Global Best Practices: Stay informed about global best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition, and strive to implement them when appropriate.
Adherence to the TAAG Code of Ethics demonstrates a commitment to ethical professional practice, underscoring the responsibilities of TAAG members to the organisations they serve, the public, and the profession. Violations of the Code may result in sanctions, including loss of membership.
